Chasing the Thrill - Adrenaline Tourism 2800-OG-EN-CTAT
Aim of course ‘Chasing the Thrill - Adrenaline Tourism’ is to acquaint students with examples of extreme tourism from different regions of the world. It will be explained what role extreme tourism can play in regional development. During the course there will be discussed ways to prepare for different kind of extreme tourism. Some examples of expeditions will be shown: into the arctic regions (Spitsbergen), high mountains and glaciers (Alps, Caucasus) tropical jungle (Colombia), taiga (Baikal Lake), deserts (Gobi, Atacama), volcanic and seismic regions (Vanuatu, Andes).
