The aim of the course is to develop students’ specialized knowledge and skills needed in an English-speaking business environment. The content delivered during the course focuses on both the presentation and discussion of selected aspects of the professional activity as well as the development of productive and receptive language skills on the basis of tasks typical of business-related contexts, e.g. participating in the recruitment process, taking part in (intercultural) negotiations, or working on collaborative projects.

Assessment criteria
Assessment methods:
- participation during classes, preparation and homework completion W1, W2, U1, U2, U3, U4, K1, K2 (20% of the final grade); no unexcused absences are allowed - each unexcused absence means 10% off the student's grade
- mid-term assignment W1, U1, U2, U3, U4, K1, K2 (30% of the final grade)
- final assignment W1, W2, W3, U4, K3 (50% of the final grade)
Grading scale:
2 – below 60%
3 – 60-69%
3.5 – 70-75 %
4 – 76-85%
4.5 – 86-90%
5 – 91-100%
The student must obtain an average of at least 60% from all graded assignments to get a passing final grade. The teacher may refuse to give the student the passing final grade if the student misses at least 7 classes.
All the above principles are applied to both traditional and remote teaching situations.
