The structure of skin and its appendages 0600-S1-ChK-BSiP
The lecture is to familiarize students with the main ingredients that build skin, hair, and nails and learn about the skin's physiology. The layered structure of the skin and the structure and functions of the skin glands (sweat and sebaceous glands) will be discussed. Issues related to the penetration of active substances through the skin, the skin barrier, and the role of water for proper skin functions will be discussed. The influence of internal and external factors on changes in the structure, its appearance, and aging processes will be presented. Students will learn about the differences in the physiology of the skin of children, women, and men. Issues related to the care of various types of skin, hair, and nails will be introduced.
