Język polski 4800-NoZ-P-JP-1-L

The Polish language as a foreign subject in 120 hours of classes prepares
the student to use the language at A1 level. The student can apply basic
expressions and build statements for satisfying specific needs. Student can
lead a simple conversation with the patient and ask simple questions
related to his private life, place of residence, family situation, health
condition. Student learns basic medical vocabulary, knowledge of which is necessary during the internship. Maximilian Berlitz's method is applied,
which consists in using in the first phase of teaching simple phrases
necessary in simple communication. This method focuses on developing
communication skills, and the phonic code is put above the graphic code.
Teaching grammar is limited to the minimum necessary.

The Polish language, as a foreign subject, is covered in 120 hours of classes, aiming to equip the student with language proficiency at the A1 level. At this stage, the student can employ basic expressions and construct statements to meet specific needs. They are capable of engaging in uncomplicated conversations, posing simple questions about personal life, residence, family, and health.

The curriculum includes learning essential medical vocabulary crucial for internships. The approach follows Maximilian Berlitz's method, emphasizing the use of simple phrases in the initial phase to facilitate basic communication. This method prioritizes the development of communication skills, with the phonic code emphasized over the graphic code. Grammar instruction is kept to the minimum necessary.

Time required for preparation and participation in the assessment process: - tutorials 120 h - preparation for tutorials 40 h - preparation for colloquium and exam: 20 h Time required for preparation and participation in the assessment process amounts 180 h (7,2 ECTS points)

U1: Student can communicate in simple and typical situations requiring communication. (Student can use the Polish language in very simple, typical communication situations related to basic daily life needs, taking into account the formal and informal character of the communication).
