On the rivers and lakes - secrets of water tourism 2800-OG-EN-RLSWT

The course covers the characteristics of water tourism waterways in Poland. Students will compare the diversity of tourism development on the lake districts in Poland. Students will learn to organize kayaking for different audiences. Will learn the rules the organization of yacht trips.
They will take part in canoeing trip on the Brodnica or Kashubian Lakeland in May / June.

Contact hours with teacher: - participation in lectures – 7 hrs - fieldfrip – 8 hrs (payable) - consultations – 10 hrs Self-study hours: - preparation for lectures – 10 hrs - writing projects – 5 hrs - reading literature – 10 hrs - preparation for test – 10 hrs Altogether: 60 hrs (2 ECTS)

Student W1: has basic knowledge of the warterways in the lowlands in Poland, W2: knows what should take to the canoe or boat trip.

Student U1: is able to plan a route multi-day canoe trip, U2: can use profesional maps of canoe routes, U3: can select the crew on the cruise sailing.

Student K1: understands the importance of active tourism, K2: promotes an increase in the importance of water tourism.

satisfactory plus- 60%
good – 70%
good plus- 80%

The field activities include the student's own fee for transport to the lakeside, canoeing equipment hire, transport of the canoes after the canoeing, and overnight accommodation with breakfast and dinner by the campfire, approximately PLN 200.
