Computer-assisted qualitative and quantitative data analysis 2800-CAQ-USS-1-S1

(po angielsku) Contact hours with teacher: - participation in laboratory- 45 hrs - consultations- 5 hrs Self-study hours: np. - preparation for laboratory - 40 hrs - reading literature- 20 hrs - preparation of the final projects – 65hrs Altogether: 175 hrs (7 ECTS)

(po angielsku) W1: Student has knowledge of intermediate concepts used in quantitative data analysis (K_W03). W2: Student has intermediate knowledge of methods of working with quantitative data in selected analytical environment (inter alia the use of statistical tests, analysis of relationships between quantitative variables, graphical presentation of data) (K_W03). W3: Student has advanced knowledge of qualitative data analysis – in such fields as: coding, mapping, modelling (K_W03). W4: Student possesses knowledge about advanced algorithms of qualitative data analysis (types of coding, models and qualitative relations, case based model, topic based models, visual relations, corelation matrixes) (K_W03).

(po angielsku) U1: Student is able to perform an analysis of a selected phenomenon using quantitative analysis methods in an analytical environment (K_U01, K_U02). U2: Student is able to choose the appropriate statistical approach in the study of quantitative variables and the relationships between them (K_U01). U3: Student is able to/ has the ability to choose proper way of qualitative data analysis in such fields as mapping, building theoretical model based on qualitative data (K_U01, K_U02). U4: Student is capable of selecting an appropriate qualitative analytical approach to the problem under study (K_U01). U5: Student can analyse advanced data sets (text, video, pictures, maps, webpages) (K_U01, K_U02).

(po angielsku) K1: Student is able to independently develop his interests and competencies in quantitative and qualitative analysis (K_K02, K_K03) K2: Student understands the importance of responsibility (including professional responsibility) for preparing a study/project (K_K01). K4: Student understands own limitations and strong points and is able to add value to team works (K_K03). K5: Student is well prepared to team works in advanced analytical projects (K_K03).
