(po angielsku) 2 ECTS = 60 hour workload per semester Contact hours with teacher: - 1 ECTS - participation in classes - 30 hrs - 0.6 ECTS - homework assignments (20 hours) - 0.4 ECTS - preparation for tests/ projects

(po angielsku) The student: W1: has in-depth knowledge of the grammar and vocabulary of the language/ languages. (K_W02) W2: knows the principles of translation at an advanced level. (K_W03) W3: has in-depth knolwedge of languages for special purposes. (K_W11)

(po angielsku) The student: U1: is able to translate business and legal texts such as contracts, company documents, financial reports, etc. from Polish into English. (K_W11, K_U12, K_K02) U2: is able to translate advanced business and legal texts such as contracts, company documents, financial reports from English into Polish (K_W11, K_U04, K_U12) U3: is able to perceive differences as to the register and varieties of the language for special purposes (K_W11, K_U12, K_U14)

(po angielsku) The student: K1: is able to work in a group or a team, to discuss, use argumentation skills and present various translation options concerning the task. (K_K02) K2: is able to apply in practice ethical standards binding in the translator’s profession, starting from accepting the assignment (task commencement) until translation performance (task completion). (K_K02) K3: is able to recognise problems and challenges connected with the translator’s profession and is able to analyse relevant needs. (K_K01)
