The aim of the course is to expand students’ skills in identifying and classifying English-Polish contrasts in morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics, as well as relevance of such skills for teaching and/or translating.

Kryteria oceniania

A graded credit on the basis of in-class and home assignments, one mid-term test and one final project.

Observation of participation, preparation and homework completion, in-class assignments documented in an individual log of progress - U1, U2 (20% of the final grade)

Mid-term test - U1, U2 (30% of the final grade)

Final test - U2, U3 (50% of the final grade)

Missing 7 classes (or more), even if excused, is likely to result in failing to obtain a passing grade.

GRADED CREDIT:

fail- below 60 %

satisfactory- 60-69 %

satisfactory plus- 70-74 %

good – 75-84 %

good plus- 85-89 %

very good- 90 and above %
