Discovering Key Therapies: Insights and Practice
2404-P-MF-DKT-sj
Complete description of the course The primary objective of this course is to provide psychology students with practical workshops aimed at exploring and reflecting on their personal relationship with four major psychotherapeutic approaches: psychoanalytic, Gestalt, existential, and cognitive-behavioural therapies. Through this course, students will deepen their understanding of these widely recognized psychotherapeutic methods, engaging in personal reflection, small group work, and video consultation analysis. The workshops will integrate both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to therapeutic methods, encouraging students to explore which approaches resonate most with them.
A key component of the course is the analysis of video consultations, which will serve as practical case studies, allowing students to observe how psychotherapists integrate therapeutic principles into real sessions. This exposure to real-life examples will bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, providing students with a more comprehensive understanding of therapeutic methods. Ultimately, the course aims to guide students toward a deeper personal connection to the therapies they study and help them identify areas they may want to explore further in their future psychotherapy studies.
