2. Cognitive personality psychology. Theory of personal constructs (Kelly).

3. Narrative approach to personality. Script theory of personality (Tomkins). Narrative identity (McAdams). The dialogical self theory (Hermans).

4. Applications of personality theories. Interpreting behavior. Case studies.

Student: • W1 Is acquainted with basic theories and approaches in the field of learning, cognitive and narrative personality psychology • W2 Has knowledge on the mechanisms underlying stable patterns of behavior as well as incoherence of behavior in different situations

Student: • U1. Can apply the knowledge on personality to individual and social phenomena • U2. Is able to interpret the changes of behavior in terms of various theoretical approaches

Assessment methods:
Grading will be based on two criteria:
(1) presence and active participation in classes – K1, K2, U1, U2
(2) final classwork – W1, W2, U1, U2

Assessment criteria:
fail - less than 60%
satisfactory - 60%
satisfactory plus – 75%
good – 80%
good plus- 85%
very good – 90%
