The lectures are designed to familiarise the student with the structure, assumptions and tasks of primary health care; the different organisational forms of services provided by nurses in the field of health care. The lectures also take into account the demographic and social changes affecting modern Polish families, the determinants of health and illness in the family and health and social problems of the family.
Exercises will enable the student to learn about the legal regulations concerning the functioning of poz and the principles of contracting nursing services in poz, as well as the medical documentation in force in pos. In addition, exercises are devoted to discussing the specifics of
the nursing process as a basic method of working in practice PCP nurses.
The self-study is designed to prepare the student to acquire theoretical knowledge independently and to use it in practical activities.
Practical classes and professional practice are designed to prepare the student for the delivery of health services in primary care.

1. The workload related to activities requiring direct participation of academic staff is:
- attendance at lectures: 10 hours
- participation in exercises: 10 hours
- participation in practical classes: 90 hours
- Participation in work placements: 100 hours
- consultations: 5 hours
- conducting a credit: 2 hours
- conducting the practical and theoretical exam: 4 hours

231 hours, equivalent to 8 ECTS credits
2.Balance of student workload:
- attendance at lectures: 10 hours

- preparation of self-study: 5 hours

C.U1.apply the selected nursing method in the care of the patient; C.U2. collect information by means of interview, observation, measurement, physical examination, analysis of documentation in order to recognise the patient's condition and formulate a nursing diagnosis; C.U3. set the goals and plan of nursing care and implement it together with the patient and his/her family;
C.U11. store and prepare medicines in accordance with current standards;
C.U12. administer medicines to the patient by various routes, in accordance with the doctor's written order or in accordance with their competence, and calculate the dosage of medicines;
C.U13. administer flu, hepatitis and tetanus vaccinations; C.U28. assess the health potential of the patient and their family using scales, grids and measurements;
C.U29. recognise determinants of a patient's health behaviour and risk factors for lifestyle-related diseases;
C.U30. select methods and forms of disease prevention and prevention and shape health behaviours of different social groups;
C.U31. teach the patient to self-monitor their condition;
C.U32. develop and implement individual health promotion programmes for patients, families and community groups;
C.U33. Deliver primary health care services;
C.U34. assess the environment of residence, teaching and upbringing, and work in terms of identifying health problems; C.U35. assess the nutritional status of the body using anthropometric, biochemical methods and subject examination and
provide nutritional advice;

The foundation of the implemented content will be provided by the subjects Fundamentals of Nursing, Clinical Nursing and Health Promotion.

- Credit - 3: The student implemented the individual care plan in the patient's home environment and properly documented the nursing process and made mistakes that did not result in insecurity for the patient, his/her family and the student himself/herself.
- Failure to pass - 2: the student was not independent, implemented the individual care plan in the patient's home environment and documented the nursing process and made mistakes that could have resulted in a safety hazard for the patient, family and others

- Credit - 3: The student implemented the individual care plan in the patient's home environment and properly documented the nursing process and made mistakes that did not result in insecurity for the patient, his/her family and the student himself/herself.
- Failure to pass - 2: The student was not independent, implemented the individual care plan in the patient's home environment and documented the nursing process and made errors that could have resulted in safety risks for the patient, family and others.
Praktyki zawodowe
The professional practice (100 hours) is carried out in primary health care settings (adult outpatient clinic, children's outpatient clinic, family nurse practitioner's office/practice)
