Neurology covers topics related to the problems and care for patients with neurological diseases treated conservatively and surgically, such as:
- cerebral vascular diseases,
- demyelinating diseases,
- neuromuscular diseases,
- neuroinfections,
- peripheral neuropathies and selected diseases of the cranial nerves,
- neurodegenerative diseases,
- epilepsy,
- headaches and dizziness,
- tumors of the brain and spinal cord,
- spine diseases,
- craniocerebral injuries,
- spine injuries.
Furthemore, it raises issues related to the diagnosis of patients with disorders of the nervous system

Balance of student workload: - participation in lectures: 20 - reading the indicated literature + self-study preparation: 15 The total student workload is 35 hours, which corresponds to 1 ECTS credit

He can: U1. gather information, formulate a nursing diagnosis, set goals and plan for nursing care, implement nursing interventions and evaluate nursing care - D.U1; U2. provide self-care counseling for patients of different age and health status regarding developmental defects, diseases and addictions - D.U2; U3. prevent complications in the course of diseases - D.U3; U4. prepare the patient physically and mentally for diagnostic tests – D.U12;
