(po angielsku) Study hours involving teacher participation: 220 hours - lectures geriatrics- 20 hours - lectures geriatric nursing- 20 hours - tutorials geriatrics– 20 hours - practical skills - nursing- 80 hours - work placement- nursing- 80 hours - consultations- 2 hours - conduct exam-1 hours The workload associated with classes requiring direct participation of academic teachers is 223 hours, which corresponds to 7,2p ECTS. Study hours involving individual student work: - lectures geriatrics- 20 hours - lectures geriatric nursing- 20 hours - tutorials geriatrics– 20 hours - practical skills - nursing- 80 hours - work placement- nursing- 80 hours - self-education – 35 hours( 20h nursing and 15h geriatrics) - preparation for exercises (including reading of the indicated literature): 10h The total student workload is 270 hours, which corresponds to 9p ECTS. 3. Types of diagnostic tests used in geriatrics and the principles of their ordering (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound and others). D.W4. W5. principles of preparing a geriatric patient for examinations and diagnostic procedures, as well as principles of care during and after these examinations and procedures. D.W5. W6. the properties of drug groups and their effects on the patient's systems and organs in various diseases in the elderly, including side effects, drug interactions and administration routes. D.W6. W7. nursing standards and procedures used in the care of an elderly patient (pressure ulcer standard, tube feeding, PEG and others). D.W7. W8. patient's attitudes towards admission to hospital, diseases and ailments. D.W8. W9. the process of aging in its biological, psychological, social and economic aspects. D.W9. (po angielsku) The student knows and can: U1. gather information, formulate a nursing diagnosis, set goals and a nursing care plan, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate nursing care. D.U1. U2. to provide counseling in the field of self-care of geriatric patients. D.U2. U3. prevent complications occurring in the course of diseases and the consequences of involutional changes resulting from age. D.U3. U4. organize isolation of patients with infectious disease in hospital D.U4. U5. Provide the patient with oxygen on an ad hoc basis and monitor his condition during oxygen therapy. D.U9. U6. prepare the patient physically and mentally for diagnostic tests. D.U12. U7. take part in referral for selected diagnostic tests. D.U13. U8. prepare records of prescription forms of medicinal substances as part of the continuation of treatment. D.U14. U9. observe and document the patient's condition, nursing care, taking into account the available IT tools for data collection. D.U15. U10. take part (and / or independently) in the selection of nursing and rehabilitation equipment and medical devices and teach the patient and his caregiver how to use it D.U16.
