The subject is carried out in the form of exercises, after completing which the student is able to:
- recognize and solve problems, moral dilemmas of modern nursing and those occurring in the work as a nurse,
- make appropriate ethical decisions depending on cultural conditions,
- describe the social and organizational factors conditioning the processes of professionalization of the nurse's profession throughout history,
- argue your own philosophical and moral views,
- demonstrate an attitude of tolerance, understanding and acceptance of different views,
- demonstrate an attitude of responsibility for one's own behaviour and that of others in various professional situations,
- respect human rights arrangements,
- interpret patient’s rights in the context of human rights,
- evaluate and compare deontological codes, their goals, functions and their need for implementation,
- discuss what the professional responsibility of a nurse is,
- list and apply legal acts in the professional activity of a nurse,
- analyze your own value system,
- differentiate moral values from non-moral ones,
- undertake ethical reflections,
- develop moral reasoning and judgment skills,
- develop skills in applying ethical principles in considering broader issues applicable to health policy and research on the moral foundations of professional practice,
