The classes will address the issues of treatment interventions, covering topics such as venous thromboembolic disease, the impact of amputation on life and body posture, the functioning of the patient, palliative surgery, physical treatment methods, and limitations of applied methods. The content will enable students to independently explore further aspects necessary for professional work as a therapist.

Na zajęciach zostanie przedstawiona problematyka leczenia zabiegowego oraz omówione zostaną: żylna choroba zatorowo-zakrzepowa, wpływ amputacji na życie i postawę ciała, jego funkcjonowanie chorego, chirurgia paliatywna, metody postępowania fizykalnego, ograniczenia stosowanych metod. Zakres treści pozwoli studentowi na dalsze samodzielne poszukiwania w zakresie niezbędnym do pracy zawodowej terapeuty |
W cyklu 2024/25:

Całkowity nakład pracy studenta
1. Mandatory hours conducted with the participation of a teacher:
• attendance at lectures (using distance learning techniques) - 15 hours (0.5 ECTS)
• participation in exercises - 30 hours (1 ECTS)
• 45 hours = 1.5 ECTS
• Time devoted by the student to individual work:
• reading literature - 5 hours = 0.2 ECTS
• Time required for preparation in the assessment process - 10 hours = 0.3 ECTS

W2: Knows the principles of diagnosis and general principles and methods of treatment in the most common diseases in the fields of cardiology and cardiac surgery, pulmonology, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, intensive care, oncology, and palliative medicine, to a degree enabling rational use of physiotherapy interventions – D.W4
W3: Understands the principles and concepts of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) – D.W16

U1: Can select and perform physiotherapeutic interventions for planned (pre- and postoperative) and traumatic amputations, conduct gait training with a prosthesis, and provide guidance on using a prosthesis for upper limb amputations – D.U5
U2: Can plan and perform pre- and postoperative physiotherapeutic interventions for individuals undergoing reconstructive orthopedic procedures, including arthroscopic and endoprosthesis surgeries – D.U6
U3: Can plan, select based on clinical and functional status, and perform physiotherapeutic interventions for patients with functional and organic peripheral vascular diseases and patients with amputations due to vascular causes – D.U37
U4: Can implement early mobilization strategies for patients after abdominal or thoracic surgery, perform physiotherapeutic interventions for lung expansion and facilitating bronchial clearance, instruct on the prevention of early and late postoperative complications, and provide recommendations for postoperative ambulatory physiotherapy – D.U38
