Biomedyczne i humanistyczne podstawy farmacji: Kwalifikowana pierwsza pomoc 1755-F2-KPMED-J

The lectures are aimed at gaining knowledge of the organization of the Emergency Medical Service System in Poland. The legal basis for the functioning of the Medical Rescue System in Poland.

Demonstrate the principles of cooperation of emergency services and how to organize rescue operations in mass events and disasters.

Laboratories are devoted to the acquisition of practical skills in:

-ensuring safety at the scene of the incident (their own and the victim and witnesses)

- the correct execution of the algorithm of basic resuscitation procedures in people of different ages.

- correctly using the AED

- securing the injured person in the safe position.

- safely turning the victim from abdomen to back

- the correct management of choking in people of different ages.

- the correct management of trauma.

- securing wounds or burns

- proper management of: hypothermia, overheating, diabetes, chest pain, epileptic seizure

W cyklu 2024/25L:

Całkowity nakład pracy studenta

1. Obligatory hours carried out with the participation of the teacher - participation in lectures - 20 hours (0.8 ECTS) - participation in exercises - 20 hours (0.8 ECTS) 40 h = 1.6 ECTS 2. Time spent by the student on individual work: - reading literature and analysis of multimedia materials - 5h (0.2 ECTS) 3. time required to prepare and to participate in the assessment process: - preparation for the credit - 4h (0.12 ECTS) - carrying out the assessment - 1h (0.08 ECTS) Total workload: 50 h = 2 ECTS

In terms of knowledge, the student knows and understands: K_W137 the principles of the chain of survival; K_W138 principles of providing first aid to non-trauma patients; K_W140 principles of providing first aid to accident victims; K_W141 principles and technique of performing dressings; K_W151 principles of basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults and children;

In terms of skills, the student is able to: K_U76 restore airway patency by non-instrumental methods; K_U83 perform electrical defibrillation with a manual and automated defibrillator; K_U97 supply external bleeding;

Attendance at classes is mandatory.

Credit for the course - credit for a grade

Credit for lectures - credit for a grade.

Test of 20 single-choice questions. Duration 20 minutes. Scored questions: 0 points wrong answer or no answer, 1 point correct answer.

Criteria for passing the test 60% correct answers

20 pts - a score of 5.0,

18-19 pts - grade 4.5,

16-17 pts - grade 4.0,

14-15 pts - grade 3.5,

12-13 pts - grade 3.0

0-11 - grade 2.0

The second term in the form of an oral exam conducted by the course coordinator.

Credit for exercises - credit

Based on observation of the student demonstrating the performance of the tasks specified by the assistant during the exercises.

Credit > 75% of correctly performed activities.
