Cranial nerves. Spinal nerves. Somatic plexuses.

The autonomic nervous system. The sensory organs.

Neural pathways. Major topographic structures.

W cyklu 2025/26Z:

Subject implemented in the form of lectures and laboratory tutorial.

Students taking classes have knowledge in the field of biology at the high school level. They know the health and safety rules in force at the Department of Normal Anatomy.

The lectures are intended to explain the more difficult issues related to the topic of individual exercises and to introduce them to practical classes that take place in the dissecting-room using bone material, isolated preparations and cadaver. During the lectures, attention will be paid to the characteristics of individual bone connections, systemic, pulmonary and fetal circulation, the structure of the nervous system and the course of the nerve pathways along with symptoms of their damage.

Laboratory tutorials are devoted to teaching practical recognition of anatomical structures both in systematic terms (musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, genitourinary system, nervous system and sensory organs.

Student workload balance: Participation in lectures: 18 hours Participation in laboratory classes: 12 hours Preparation for laboratory classes: 12 hours Reading assigned literature: 10 hours Consultations with an academic teacher: 3 hours Preparation for and taking the assessment: 17 + 3 = 20 hours Total student workload: 75 hours, which corresponds to 3 ECTS credits 3. Workload related to scientific research activities: Reading assigned scientific literature: 5 hours Participation in lectures (including research methodology, research findings, studies): 4 hours Research-related consultations: 2 hours Participation in classes involving scientific activities (including research methodology, research findings, studies): 6 hours Preparation for classes involving scientific activities: 2 hours Preparation for the assessment regarding research and scientific aspects of the subject: 4 hours Total student workload related to research activities: 20 hours, which corresponds to 0.8 ECTS credits 4. Time required to prepare for and participate in the assessment process: Preparation for and taking the assessment: 7 + 3 hours Total: 10 hours (0.4 ECTS credits)
