Pathophysiology of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) 1700-OG-EN-PATHCOV19
The main task of the lectures is to familiarize students with the detailed mechanisms of the development of disorders in organs and systems in the course of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19.
Detailed scope of topics:
1. Classification and structure of coronaviruses.
2. Epidemiology of COVID-19.
3. The role of cytokine storm in the pathogenesis of COVID-19.
4. Hematological disorders in the course of COVID-19.
5. Laboratory diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
6. COVID-19 therapies.
7. Vaccinations for COVID-19.

Participation in 60% of lectures is a condition of admission to the written test.
Written credit (W1, W2, W3, U1, U2, K1): 15 test questions based solely on the content of the lectures.
The points obtained are converted into marks according to the following scale:
* fail - 0-55%
* satisfactory - 56-67%
* satisfactory plus - 68-75%
* good - 76-83%
* good plus - 84-91%
* very good - 92-100%
