(po angielsku) W1 Knows and can differentiate basic neurological syndromes: pyramidal syndrome, flaccid syndrome, cerebellum syndrome, spinal syndromes, meningeal syndrome, extrapyramidal syndrome, intracranial hypertension syndrome, symptoms of cranial and peripheral nerves lesion, impairment of higher intellectual functions (aphasia, dysarthria, alexia) - E.W13
W2 Knows and understands etiology, symptoms, diagnostics rules and therapeutic procedures regarding the most common neurological diseases:
provide assistance in performing the following medical procedures:
1) headaches: migraine, tension headache, headache syndromes, trigeminal neuralgia,
2) cerebrovascular diseases, particularly stroke,
3) epilepsy,
4) nervous system infections, particularly meningitis, borreliosis, herpes simplex encephalitis, neurotransmission disorders,
5) dementia syndromes, particularly Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, vascular dementia, and other dementia syndromes,
6) basal ganglia diseases, particularly Parkinson’s disease,
7) demyelinating diseases, particularly multiple sclerosis,
8) neuromuscular diseases, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and sciatic neuralgia,
9) craniocerebral injuries, particularly cerebral concussion- E.W14
W3 Has a basic knowledge of principles of suspecting and diagnosing brain death- F.W15
W4 knows and understands the causes, symptoms, and principles of diagnosis and treatment of the most
common central nervous system diseases in the scope of:
1) cerebral oedema and its complications, with particular reference to health emergencies,
2) other forms of intracranial tightness and its complications,
3) craniocerebral injuries,
4) vascular malformations in the central nervous system,
5) tumours of the central nervous system,
6) diseases of the spine and spinal cord- F.W13

U2 Can distinguish between physiology and pathology of nervous system- E.U13
U3 Can compose pathological signs and create neurological syndrome, can localize pathology within nervous system- E.U13
U4 On the base of examination can establish syndrome, localization and etiological hypothesis- E.U13
U5 Create indication for diagnostics investigations adequately for clinical condition and accurately interpret its results- E.U16, E.U28
U6 Can diagnose and evaluate the level of consciousness- E.U7, F.U21
U7 Can diagnose and suggest treatment procedure in case if stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracranial hypertension, epileptic seizure and status epilepticus- E.U14
U8 is able to provide assistance in performing the following medical procedures:
a) lumbar puncture
and interprets their results- E.U30
