E.W7 Causes, symptoms, complications, and principles of diagnosis and treatment of the most common internal diseases in adults. E.W34, Causes, symptoms, and principles of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the most common bacterial, viral, parasitic and fungal diseases, including pneumococcal infections, viral hepatitis, acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), sepsis and nosocomial infections. W38, Causes, symptoms, and principles of diagnosis and treatment of the most common diseases and specific problems in family medicine practice. W39, Types of biological material used in laboratory diagnostics and the principles of sample collection. W40, Theoretical and practical principles of laboratory medicine. W41 Possibilities and limitations of diagnostic tests in health emergencies.

(po angielsku) Student is able to : U1: Operate an optical microscope, including the use of oil immersion techniques. U8: Make use of basic laboratory techniques, such as qualitative analysis, titration, colorimetry, pH-metry, chromatography, electrophoresis of proteins and nucleic acids. U28: Collect samples for laboratory testing. U29: Perform basic medical procedures, including: basic strip tests and blood glucose level tests. F.U14 . Interpret the results of laboratory tests indicating a pathological course of pregnancy.

(po angielsku) Lecture: informative lecture with multimedia presentation. Exercises: auditorium exercises, case study, interpreatation of laboratory test results, multimedia presentations.
