W1: Understands the importance of health, illness, disability, the social consequences of illness, knows the current concept of quality of life conditioned by the state of health. (G.W4.)
W2: Knows the concept of public health, its aims and objectives, and the structure and organisation of the healthcare system at the national and global level, as well as the impact of economic conditions on the possibilities of health protection. (G.W4)
W3: Knows the strategies used at different levels of preventive intervention and health promotion. (D.W14.)

(po angielsku) The Student:
U1: Assesses population health problems based on available epidemiological and demographic data. Develops the epidemic chain of an infectious disease, analyzes epidemiological reports of infectious diseases subject to notification, justifies the need for preventive vaccination. (G.U1, G.U2, G.U4.)
U2: Explains the principles of health promotion, can plan preventive actions at different levels of prevention. (G.U2.)

- participation in lectures (with the use of distant learning methods): 6 hours

Workload associated with classes requiring direct participation of academic teachers amounts to 13 hours, corresponding to 0,5 ECTS points.
2. The balance of the student's work:
- participation in lectures (with the use of distant learning methods): 6 hours

- preparation for the classes (reading indicated literature and preparing reports): 3 hours
