(po angielsku) 1/ contact hours (lecture) - 15 h 2/ individual work (reading the recommended literature and documentation) - 65 h 3/ written essay concerning a chosen topic - 35 4/ preparation for short final disscussion based upon the essay - 35 _________________________________________ 150 h = 6 ECTS

(po angielsku) K_W04 - the student acquires necessary knowledge concerning the basic penitentiary dilemmas in confrontation with the human rights standards; K_W05 - the student becomes familiar with the professional terminology and penitentiary standards both of international and Polish dimension; K_W08 - the student has a solid knowledge concerning the evolution of international penitentiary standards and understands the rationalization concerning the current tendencies;

(po angielsku) K_U01 - the student is able to interpret in a proper way the social and legal phenomenons concerning the interpersonal problems of "life in prison"; K_U02 - the student is able to make his/her own critical analyses as far as the particular penitentiary standards are concerned; K_U08 - the student can consider with a solid competence different social contexts of functioning the prison system;

(po angielsku) K_K04 - the student identifies properly the moral and ethical problems which are connected with international and national movement for the effectiveness of imprisonment and social rehabilitation of prisoners; K_K07 - the student is able to be active in an innovation way for undertaking the professional tasks in the field of penitentiary system
