Self-study hours:
- preparation for active participation in the lecture (discussion, solving tasks given by the tutor as homework, reading literature pointed by the lecturer, comparing and contrasting Polish institutions of constitutional law, legal system and civil as well as criminal law versus institutions valid in students' countries of origin,) – 40 hrs
- preparation before exam (familiarizing with materials delivered by the lecturer (power point/prezi presentations), as well as literature; analysis of provisions of Polish Constitution, Polish Civil Code and Criminal Code) – 84 hrs
Altogether: 150 hrs (6.00 points ECTS)

W1: has knowledge about basic institutions of criminal law
W2: knows subjects of civil law and rules on establishing legal relations between them
W3: knows basics of Polish constitutional law and characterizes legal professions in Poland

U1: has the ability to use legal norms in order to solve specific problems
U2: can present in English his personal opinion on specific problems of constitutional, civil and criminal law

K1: understands the need to broaden his knowledge and abilities in the field of comparative law
K2: shows creativity in drawing comparisons between Polish and other legal systems
Metody dydaktyczne
(po angielsku) Main method is conventional lecture, often with element of discussion. Tutor encourages discussion over problematic issues, commenting and correcting flow of a debate. Students are asked to present legal solutions from their respective countries to add a comparative aspect. Power point presentations are used. Also, case study and solving tasks is involved
Wymagania wstępne
(po angielsku) Knowledge of English language sufficient enough to read and communicate on intermediate level
