The lecture ‘Anti-mobbing and anti-discrimination policy and dispute resolution in higher education’ is conducted in the form of a conversational/problem-based lecture, i.e. classes consisting of the lecturer moderating discussions with students on the subject being taught. Information about the topics covered in each class is provided to students at least one week in advance. Therefore, the primary focus of the class is on assessing students' preparation for the discussion and their engagement in it. In addition, participants have the opportunity to give independent presentations and take part in team work, including presentations.
Each instance of student activity during the class is recorded by the lecturer in the form of a ‘plus’. One “plus” can be obtained for activity during each class. The appropriate number of ‘pluses’ translates into a correspondingly high grade according to the following table:
6 ‘+’ - satisfactory
7 ‘+’ - satisfactory plus
8 ‘+’ – good
9 ‘+’ - good plus
10 ‘+’ - very good
An alternative form of assessment for those who do not demonstrate activity is a test consisting of twenty single-choice questions based on the topics discussed in class. A pass mark of satisfactory requires 11 or 12 correct answers. For every two consecutive points, the grade increases by half. In other words, for:
11-12 points - satisfactory
13-14 points - satisfactory plus
14-15 points - good
16-17 points - good plus
19-20 points - very good
