Fundamentals of climate and climate change 7404-SD-NoZiS-FCLIM
The lecture covers the following topics: History of meteorological observations and measurements in Poland and around the world, the Earth's climate system, basic knowledge of meteorology, climate-forming processes and geographical factors of climate, geographical distribution of selected meteorological elements, classifications of the Earth's climates, basic information on the most important types of climate. In addition, the climates of Europe and Poland will be discussed in more detail. The lecture will end with a discussion of the problem of climate change and its causes and consequences for the environment and societies.
