Total student workload
Besides participation in the classes (15 hours), student is supposed to prepare a draft of Preludium proposal (5 hours).
Learning outcomes - knowledge
W1: Knows funding sources for research projects, granting institutions, types of competitions
W2: Knows rules for preparing grant applications: parts of the proposal, types of required documentation, sections including descriptive and budgetary parts, as wel las rules of project evaluation and reporting
W3: Knowledge of evaluation criteria
W4: Knowledge of procedures upon receiving funding
W5: Knowledge of scientific career in Poland and abroad
W6: Knowledge of regulations associated with obtaining degrees and the professor title.

U1: Can prepare a proposal according to the requirements
U2: Can use web-based system for submitting proposals
U3: Can point towards key sections of a research proposal
U4: Can assemble a budget for a research project, including direct and indirect costs, and research plan

Lecture, excercise in a computer room aimed at getting knowledge on preparation of a research proposal for the National Science Center.

Assessment criteria
The basic way to complete the course is submission of a Preludium draft proposal (National Science Center). The draft should include all the information indicated during the class. Completeing of this task requires setting up an account in the OSF system and preparation of the draft proposal according to the guidelines.
