Agronomy 7100-AGR-1-SJ

The lecture will include knowledge on: the history of the development of agriculture in Poland and around the world; farming systems in agriculture - conventional, ecological and integrated agriculture; structures of agricultural land use in the country and around the world; factors related to agricultural production - natural factors (soil, climate, terrain, water relations, biocenosis), agrotechnical factors (cultivation, crop rotation, fertilization, sowing, plant protection and care, harvesting) and their impact on the size of crops and the quality of crop yields; assessment of natural conditions for agriculture and their indicators; methods of managing agricultural crops and their importance in animal nutrition; understanding the mechanisms of plant response to stress, especially drought; selection of seed material and sowing; the importance of microorganisms for the functioning of soils and plants.

Written test - competency test and plant species recognition test (verifying W1-W4 outcomes)
Assessment criteria:
sufficient grade: 60-70 points ,
sufficient plus grade: 71-80 points
good grade: 81-87 points
good plus grade: 88-94 points
very good grade: over 94 points

There is one resit opportunity. The same criteria apply as in the first attempt.
