-participation in Foreign Language Class: 45 h (30 h semester I, 15 h semester II)

2. Time required for preparation and participation in the assessment process:
- participation in Foreign Language Class: 45 h
- preparation and completion of notes - 15h
- repetition of material required - 15 h
- additional opportunity to consult with the people conducting the classes - 10 h
- preparation for classes – 20 h
- preparation for colloquiums – 10 h

Learning outcomes - knowledge
(in Polish) W1: Student knows the rules of pronunciation in Latin.
W2. Student knows selected issues of Latin grammar and syntax.
W3. Student knows selected Latin chemical, botanical, and pharmaceutical nomenclature.
W4. Student knows the names of some chemical elements and chemical compounds.
W5. Student knows basic terms and Latin abbreviations used in prescriptions.
W6. Student knows the Latin names of selected medicinal and cosmetic plants.
W7. Student knows the most popular Latin expressions used today.
Learning outcomes - skills
(in Polish) U1: Student can read, write and translate a prescription.
U2: Student speaks specialized Latin and understands its use in professional writing.
U3: Student recognizes and understands terms of Latin origin in modern languages, especially in English.
U4: Student uses Latin terms found in international pharmaceutical and medical nomenclature.
Learning outcomes - social competencies

K2: Student is aware of the need to constantly supplement linguistic knowledge in the field of profession and engage in self-education.
