Film and Book Tourism 2800-OG-EN-FBT
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the phenomenon of film, cartoons, anime and (including comic books) in Poland and in the world. The aim of teaching is also to introduce students to various forms of this type of tourism, e.g.: Visits to locations portrayed within a specific film/television production; visits to studio sets; Visits to specific film/TV theme parks and attractions; Visits to locations where filming is taking place, Visits to film festivals; Visits to sites related to works of fiction and their authors; Participation in organised tours of film celebrity homes, haunts, and associated film sites.
Topics:
• Theory of film and book tourism, position of F&L tourism within cultural tourism;
• Major film festivals of the world, film studios, film-themed parks, film and book museums;
• Characteristics of assorted film, tv productions, anime, cartoons, book and comicstourism destinations;
• Profile of Film and Literary tourist;
• Influence of films/books on the marketing of tourist destinations.
