Classes requiring direct participation of the teacher – lecture: 15 hours Self-study: Reading books on various aspects of organisation and daily operations of various police forces in the UK: 40 hours Self-study: Preparation for the exam: 25 hours Total number: 90 hours (three ECTS)

The students gain detailed knowledge of histoy, strucutre, powers, procedures and daily operations of police forces in the UK, with the emphasis on territiorial police force on England and Wales as well as Police Scotland. .

The students are able to understand and analyze data about organization powers, procedures and daily operations of police forces in the UK

The students are aware of main challenges facing police forces in multicultural society.
