Text grammar in practice 2513-s2ROM1Z-GTWP

Laboratory classes are aimed at acquiring the student's knowledge and skills regarding theoretical and practical aspects of text grammar.
The classes therefore combine the acquisition of theoretical knowledge with practical analysis of selected texts at C1 level.

Classes in the 2024/2025 cycle combine the acquisition of knowledge regarding the basics of text grammar at the C1 level and practical text analyzes (based on the C1 level textbook; the student analyzes texts, their structure and organization, acquiring lexical and grammatical skills at the C1 level).

Term 2025/26Z:

Classes in the 2025/2026 cycle combine the acquisition of knowledge regarding the basics of text grammar at the C1 level and practical text analyzes (based on the C1 level textbook; the student analyzes texts, their structure and organization, acquiring lexical and grammatical skills at the C1 level).

Total student workload

3 ects: 1 ects - course requiring the direct presence of an academic teacher; 1 ects - ongoing preparation for classes; 1 ects - preparation for the final exam.

Learning outcomes - knowledge

The student has in-depth knowledge of text organization at the lexical, syntactic and stylistic level. The student has in-depth and structured knowledge of text grammar.

Learning outcomes - skills

The student is able to select and use appropriate research methods and tools for text grammar research. The student is able to communicate (orally and in writing) with recipients from various circles, providing them with specialized knowledge about the text and its organization.

Learning outcomes - social competencies

In professional situations, the student is able to obtain information to solve problems related to the organization, creation and interpretation of texts. The student identifies and resolves legal and ethical dilemmas related to the profession of interpreting and creating texts.

Assessment criteria

The student is assessed in terms of acquiring the knowledge acquired during classes. The form of passing the course is a written examination on selected grammar issues.
Assessment criteria for the written exam:
60% - 65% - dst
66%-70% - dst+
71%-79% db
80% - 85% db+
86%-100% bdb
