MA SEMINAR IN TRANSLATION STUDIES (2025/2026, dr Dorota Guttfeld)
In the third term, the seminar focuses on developing the students’ individual research projects in translation studies. To obtain credit, students need to complete at least one theoretical chapter of their work.

MA SEMINAR IN LINGUISTICS (dr Agnieszka Sowińska) (2025/2026)
The aim of the MA seminar is to assist students in the process of writing their MA theses . The third semester of the MA seminar in linguistics is devoted to the continuation of the research on the theoretical chapters, the research methods and theories and the completion of approximately 60% of the thesis. Students will also continue their research on the practical chapters.

MA SEMINAR IN LITERARY STUDIES
The third semester of the seminar is devoted to developing the concepts, hypotheses and literary analyses into the initial chapters of the MA theses. Simultaneusly, we will be ehnancing our analytical and interpretative skills on excepts from Don DeLillo's White Noise be approaching them from a variety of theoretical perspectives.

U2: The student can work individually on the academic format of the thesis, including academic English level of discourse (K_U01, K_U03, K_U07).

MA SEMINAR IN TRANSLATION STUDIES (dr Dorota Guttfeld) (2025/2026)
The student will be graded on the process and product of their work.
The process should be largely independent, based on regular meetings and email contact, with specific issues and, where feasible, alternative solutions reported to the supervisor, and feedback implemented with a degree of autonomy.
The product, a theoretical chater of the work, is graded based on academic quality (see learning outcomes above), including a broad cultural context, a critical attitude to sources, and an in-depth discussion of the issues.
The process:
- regular and productive contact with the supervisor throughout the semester (5% for October, November, December, and January; 20% altogether)
- regular contributions to the MA project (10% for November, December, and January; 30% altogether), including the implementation of the supervisor's feedback
The product:
- submitting a revised introduction and chapter overviews (10%), and at least one complete theoretical chapter (20% for one chapter out of two planned, 40% for completing the whole theoretical part of the work); 50% altogether.
