Learning outcomes - knowledge
(in Polish) The student
W1: knows C1+ academic English, including proper style and register appropriate for a master's thesis, and understands the structure of academic essays and the principles of paraphrasing, summarising and citing academic texts in English (K_W02)
W2: understands the principles of formatting formal academic summaries and citations with due care with respect to copyright considerations and the ethical use of sources (K_W12)
Learning outcomes - skills
(in Polish) U1: is able to create adequately structured academic texts based on sources and create citations to these sources, following the MA stylesheet guidelines and the teacher’s suggestions (K_U08, K_U14)
U2: is capable of creating written academic texts using a word processor, following the MA stylesheet guidelines for particular sections of the MA (K_U04)
U3: is able to select sources independently in order to support the thesis expressed in his or her academic text at the level of C1+ (K_U11, K_U14)
U4: is able to communicate in writing with individuals from different academic and cultural backgrounds thereby successfully conveying knowledge relating to the content addressed in the student's master's thesis (K_U05)
U5: is able to express an informed opinion on fragments of texts selected for peer-evaluation (K_U09)
