Week 1 Introduction: Flannery O’Connor’s life and work
Weeks 2-4 O’Connor’s earliest short stories, including “The Geranium”, analysis of the original text and its translation into Polish.
Weeks 5-7 analysis and translation of selected essays by Flannery O’Connor
Week 8 Summary and midterm test
Weeks 9-11 analysis and translation of selected letters by Flannery O’Connor
Weeks 12-14 analysis and translation of selected short stories, for example “The Revelation” or “The Displaced Person.”
Week 15 Final test.
