Media, film, literature: Ecological explorations in literature, film and art 2510-f2ENG1W-MFL-EE

Students are introduced to the major problems and standpoints in contemporary ecocriticism. A selection of literary texts and films dealing with ecological issues will be discussed, as well as the influence of ecological thought on the study of media.

Total student workload

Contact hours with the teacher: - participation in classes - 30 hrs. - Consultations online – 5 hrs. - Teacher-assisted activities online – 5 hrs. Self-study hours: - preparation for classes – 15 hrs. - preparation for the presentation - 10 hrs. - preparation for the final project (essay or creative work) – 10 hrs. Altogether: 75 hrs (3 ECTS)

W1: The student has in-depth and systematized knowledge of research-related terminology and methodology applied in the study of media, film and literature (K_W09).
