The seminar examines the methods of studying culture and the selected aspects of popular culture in Anglophone countries. The students learn how to analyse cultural artefacts, read the critical texts on Anglophone cultures and apply acquired skills and knowledge in practice. The seminar covers the following aspects and phenomena: popular fiction, visual culture, popular music, subculture and counterculture as well as fan fiction.
