The aim of the course is to familiarize students with selected theories and research, both classic and newest, in the field of communication psychology and the psychology of persuasion and social influence.
During the classes, we will discuss the following topics and rules of influence:
1. Social influence and persuasion - introduction
2. The principle of contrast and the rule of reciprocity
3. Consistency and social proof
4. Likeability and authority
5. Unavailability
6. Pre-suasion
