YUFE Students’ Summer Odyssey - Summer School in Social and Environmental Psychology 2472-SL-YUFESSO
“YUFE Students’ Summer Odyssey” is an intensive, two-week international summer school designed to combine solid theoretical foundations with practical research experience in the field of social and environmental psychology. The program is conducted entirely in English and includes both academic coursework and urban field research.
Week 1 – Toruń, NCU Institute of Psychology
– introduction to theories in social and environmental psychology
– integration activities and development of communication skills
– building an international learning community
Week 2 – Chełmno
– field workshops conducted in an urban setting
– designing and carrying out environmental research
– bridging theory and practice through hands-on research experience
The course offers an overview of classical and contemporary theories and research findings related to:
– place attachment and collective memory
– social environmental psychology
– advanced social psychology
– intergroup relations and urban diversity
– prejudice and attitudes toward “otherness”
