The aims and objectives of neuropsychological rehabilitation. Mechanisms of neuroplasticity. Ethical problems of neuropsychological rehabilitation. The patient in the family. Factors affecting the neuropsychological treatment. The impact of the psyche of the patient on the success of therapy. Rehabilitation of apraxia and agnosia. Rehabilitation of people with impaired attention and executive functions. Rehabilitation of people with aphasia. Rehabilitation of people with memory disorders. Dementia. Neuropsychological rehabilitation assisted by computer. Treatment of disorders of emotions and motivation. Treatment of cognitive function in children.

Hours implemented with the participation of teachers (.30 h):
- Participation in lectures - 30 hours.
The time spent on the work of an individual student 60 h):
e.g. reading literature for classes and preparing for classes - 60 hours.

has structured, in-depth knowledge including terminology, theory and methodology in the field of psychology

has extended knowledge of the relationship between psychology and the following sciences: humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and technical sciences

has detailed knowledge of the structure and functions of the human nervous system and knows methods of examining its functions; has basic knowledge of the structure and functions of the nervous system of selected animals

has extended knowledge of the relationships between the functioning of the central nervous system and motor activities, cognitive and emotional functioning of humans
Effects of the subject of education:
-knows detailed terminology in the field of neuropsychological rehabilitation in Polish and English
-has knowledge of the problems in the field of neurorehabilitation currently discussed in the literature
-has detailed knowledge of the structure and functions of the human brain in the field of neurology and neurobiology
-knows the symptoms and causes of selected brain disorders and lesions and methods of their treatment

is able to use theoretical knowledge in the field of psychology to describe and analyze mental and social processes and phenomena; using the correct terminology, is able to identify the conditions of human behavior, describe the course of social phenomena and the functioning of social groups

can critically analyze popular publications in the field of psychology, as well as separate views based on common knowledge from scientific data

-searches, analyses, evaluates, selects and uses information in the field of neurorehabilitation from written and electronic sources.
-correctly uses the learned terminology in the field of neuropsychological rehabilitation
