The subject Methodology of teaching a foreign language aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills and competences needed to design English classes. Students will be able to adapt classes to the group's requirements and ensure that they meet the requirements of the core curriculum.

Learning outcomes - knowledge

The student indicates methods of teaching English in preschool and early school education (including TPR and The SIlent Way) The student describes core curriculum for grades I-III when it comes to the foreign language. The student distinguishes methods of designing English classes, indicates ways to create friendly conditions for learning a foreign language, and lists the types of activities, games, songs, etc. used in English classes. The student indicates the rules for assessing the progress of children.

Learning outcomes - skills

The student designs English classes for children in early school and preschool education, using games, activities, movement and songs. The student efficiently uses multimedia in planning classes.

Learning outcomes - social competencies

The student is ready to motivate children and create friendly conditions for them to learn English.
