Learning outcomes - knowledge
(in Polish) Student has basic knowledge of the establishment and development of buddism and is familiar with the life story and philosophy of Buddha Sakyamuni. Moreover, he/she posses knowledge about buddhist traditions, their expansion and is acquainted with buddhist modernism
Learning outcomes - skills
(in Polish) Student is able to recognize the differences between buddhism and other world religions; he/she is capable of identifying the variance of buddhist sects. Furthermore can explain how buddhist traditions appeared and settled in the western world, can recognize the influence of dharma in contemporary science and art.
Learning outcomes - social competencies
(in Polish) Student is aware of buddhist values and practices. Recognizes the diversity of buddhist teachings and the results of their application in the western world. He/she understands the need for the development of socially engaged Buddhism.
Teaching methods
(in Polish) expository teaching methods: participatory lecture, narration; discussion,
exploratory teaching methods: presentation of a paper, brainstorming.
