Basic Sciences: Pathology: Pathomorphology 1855-P2-PATOMO-S1
General pathomorphology deals with morphological changes in the disease, regardless of their tissue-organ localization. The subject of general pathomorphology is the classification of lesions.
Organ pathomorphology concerns lesions of a given organ or anatomical system.
In lectures, students are introduced to the subject of general pathomorphology (introduction to pathomorphology, methods used in pathomorphological studies, cell damage, atrophic, retrograde, progressive lesions, circulatory disorders, inflammation, immunopathology, premalignant lesions and neoplasms).
During the exercises, the student is introduced to topics related to the examinations used in pathomorphology and issues in organ pathomorphology (genitourinary diseases, fetal and neonatal pathology, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, breast diseases).
As part of the self-study, the student prepares a multimedia presentation for general or detailed pathomorphology.
