General Sciences: Bioethics 1855-F1-BE-SJ
While learning the subject, students learn the historical context of the emergence of bioethics as a separate discipline of knowledge in the 1960s. They will also be familiarized with basic ethical concepts and theories and their relation to biomedical problems. Additionally, they will gain knowledge about the relationship between bioethics and the professional ethics of a physiotherapist. The lecture also includes basic information on the main areas of bioethics: bioethics of the beginning of human life (i.e. genetic bioethics), bioethics of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions (i.e. therapeutic bioethics) and bioethics of the end of human life (i.e. thanatological bioethics).
