Biomedical Basis of Physiotherapy: Normal and Functional Anatomy
1855-F1-APF-SJL
Classes conducted in the form of lectures and tutorials. The topics of the lectures are issues related to the anatomical structure of organs and systems of the human body with particular emphasis on the structure of the musculoskeletal system. During the tutorials students acquire the ability to recognize the basic structures of the human body on phantoms and anatomical models, with particular emphasis on the elements of the motor system and vascular-nerve structures.
Total student workload
Study hours involving teacher participation:
- lectures – 40 hours (1,3 ECTS)
- tutorials – 80 hours (2,6 ECTS)
120 h =4,8 ECTS
Total: 75 hours (3 ECTS)
Study hours involving individual student work – self study:
- lectures – 40 hours
- tutorials – 80 hours
- reading literature – 40 hours (1,6 ECTS)
- preparation for exam/exam -20 hours
- preparation for tests – 20 hours;
Total: 200 hours (8 ECTS)
Learning outcomes - knowledge
Student knows and understands
W1: anatomical structure of individual systems of the human body and the basic relationships between their structure and function in conditions of health and disease, in particular the locomotor system - A.W1
W2: anatomical denominations necessary to describe the state of health - A.W4
W3: the basics of the functioning of individual systems of the human body as well as motor and sense organs - A.W8
Learning outcomes - skills
Student can
U1: recognize and locate on phantom and anatomical models of essential structures of the human body, including elements of the osteoarticular system, muscle groups and individual muscles - A.U01
U2: palpate selected elements of the anatomical structure and their connections with adjacent structures, including bone elements that are sites of muscle and ligament attachments and points of anthropometric measurements, superficial muscles, tendons and selected vascular-nerve bundles - A.U02
Learning outcomes - social competencies
Ready to:
K1: notice and recognize own limitations, self-assessment of deficits and educational needs - K5
