Total student workload
1. Student workload related to classes requiring direct participation of academic teachers:
- participation in classes: 25 hours
- consultations: 4 hours
- final assessment: 1 hour

Teaching methods
(in Polish) - analiza i interpretacja przykładowych danych biomedcznych,
- rozwiązywanie zadań rachunkowych i problemowych w grupach i indywidualnie,
- praca z arkuszem kalkulacyjnym oraz/lub specjalistycznym oprogramowaniem statystycznym,
- dyskusja i wspólna interpretacja wyników obliczeń,
- case study – zastosowanie metod statystycznych do wybranych badań naukowych,
- krótkie prezentacje i raporty studentów podsumowujące przeprowadzone analizy.

Prerequisites
The student possesses knowledge in biomedical sciences acquired during previous major courses. Has basic mathematical skills (including operations on numbers, percentages, powers, logarithms) as well as an elementary knowledge of descriptive statistics. The student is able to use a computer and office software, in particular a spreadsheet, and is capable of analyzing and interpreting scientific texts.
