W trakcie praktyki studenci systematyzują dotychczas posiadane wiadomości z zakresu podstaw fizjoterapii dodatkowo poszerzone o wiedzę kliniczną w dziedzinie rehabilitacji.

During the internship, students systematize their knowledge of the basics of physiotherapy, additionally expanded with knowledge of physiotherapy and massage.

F.W2. - theoretical, methodological and practical foundations of physical therapy and therapeutic massage; F.W14. - principles of health promotion, its tasks and the role of the physiotherapist in promoting a healthy lifestyle

F.U1. - conduct tests and interpret their results and conduct functional tests necessary for the selection of physiotherapy measures, performing treatments and applying basic therapeutic methods F.U2. - independently perform treatments in the field of physiotherapy and therapeutic massage F.U7. - use and operate physiotherapy equipment and devices and prepare the workstation F.U9. - enter data and information obtained and a description of the effects of treatments and therapeutic activities into the patient's documentation F.U10. - initiate, organize and implement activities aimed at health education, health promotion and disability prevention F.U11. - determine the scope of their professional competences and cooperate with representatives of other medical professions F.U12 - independently perform assigned tasks and properly organize their own work and take responsibility for it F.U13. - work in a team and take responsibility for participating in decision-making F.U17. - respect the patient's rights F.U18. - establish a relationship with the patient and colleagues based on mutual trust and respect

Teaching methods

Summer internship: - demonstration - case analysis - observation of physiotherapists' work - practical performance of assigned physiotherapy activities with a patient

Prerequisites

A student starting training in physical therapy and massage work placement should have knowledge of: normal human anatomy, anthropometry, movement education and movement teaching methodology, physiology, and physical therapy.

Assessment criteria

1. The internship journal contains a verification card for learning outcomes, based on which the mentor assesses the student's knowledge, skills and social competences. To obtain credit for the internship, all components must be passed with a "yes" (minimum required for passing). In other situations, when there is at least one "no" credit, the student will not receive an entry in USOS confirming that the summer internship has been passed.
2. All absences from summer internships must be made up after arranging a date with the internship supervisor.
