General Sciences: Philosophy 1800-F1-NOFIL-SJZ
The lecture aims to introduce philosophical issues. It begins by defining philosophy and showing the differences between philosophical knowledge and other types of knowledge (common, theological and scientific). Then, the basic branches of philosophy such as metaphysics, epistemology, logic, ethics, political philosophy and aesthetics are presented, along with the main questions they try to answer. After getting acquainted with the branches of philosophical knowledge, the method of philosophizing is discussed along with the central problem of correct reasoning. In the next part of the course, students will become acquainted with the main assumptions of currently developed concepts of philosophy - neo-thomism, neo-marxism, neo-positivism, phenomenology, post-modernism and eco-philosophy.
