1. Hours conducted with the participation of instructors:
Participation in lectures: 15 hours
The workload related to classes requiring the direct participation of academic teachers is 15 hours, which corresponds to 0.6 ECTS points
2. The time devoted to self-study of a student course necessary to successfully complete the course,
required revision of the material and writing passing test: 9+1=10 hours

Learning outcomes - knowledge
(in Polish) W1: Student defines basic concepts in the field of breeding and biology of laboratory and experimental animals;
W2: Students explains the principles of conducting experiments on animals, including preclinical tests based on legal standards in force in Poland, taking into account animal protection and the use of alternative methods
W3:Students knows the basics of organizing an animal facility
W4:Student classifies the severity of procedures;
W5: Student knows how to inject substances tested on animals;
W6: Student is aware of ethical problems arising when conducting experiments on animals;
Learning outcomes - skills
(in Polish) U1: Student can recognize basic animal behavior and assess animal welfare parameters;
U2: Student can plan a simple experiment using experimental animals in accordance with applicable legal standards and draw appropriate conclusions from it;
U3: Student can assess the advantages and disadvantages of conducting animal tests and indicate the possibility of replacing them with alternative methods;
Learning outcomes - social competencies
(in Polish) K1: Student is aware of responsibility for the welfare and proper use of animals in scientific research;
