Preparation to LEK Examination - Internal Diseases 1655-LekM5LEKWEW-J
Seminar topics:
1. Cardiology - acute coronary syndromes, chronic coronary syndromes, chronic heart failure, atrial fibrillation, infective endocarditis.
2. Nephrology - Principles of diagnosis of kidney disease.
Acute kidney injury. Chronic kidney disease.
3. Endocrinology - Pronciples of diagnosis and treatment the most often diseases of endocrine glands.

U1 - the student is able to relate cardiovascular pathology with clinical symptoms (C.U11)
U2 - the student analyzes the influence of etiological factors on the cardiovascular system and is able to predict the effects of these factors and compensatory mechanisms on the morphology and function of the heart and vessels (C.U12)
U3 - the student is able to perform differential diagnosis of basic cardiovascular diseases (E.U12)
U4 - the student is able to recognize life-threatening conditions in cardiology (E.U14)

Basic knowledge of symptoms, diagnostics methods and laboratory tests used in cardiovascular diseases, endocrinology and nephrology
Basic knowledge of ECG interpretation.
Basic knowledge of medications used in cardiovascular diseases treatment, renal diseases treatment and in endocrine glands diseases
