6.3. Medical Certification

The aim of education is to learn the basic concepts used in medical certification and to learn the principles of correct adjudication for the purposes of benefits and forensic. Learns the rules for issuing certificates and opinions necessary to grant benefits described below.
Total student workload
1. Obligatory hours carried out with the participation of the teacher:
- participation in lectures: 5 hours
- completion of the assessment: 0.5 hour
The workload related to classes requiring the direct participation of academic teachers is 5 hours, which corresponds to 0.2 ECTS points.
2. Balance of student workload:
- participation in lectures 5 hours
- preparation for the exam and passing the exam: 3 hours + 0.5 hour = 3.5 hours
The total student workload is 8.5 hours, which corresponds to 0.35 ECTS points.
3. Time required to prepare for and participate in the assessment process:
- preparation for and carrying out the assessment: 0.5 hour + 0.5 hour = 1 hour, which is 0.04 ECTS points
4. Time required to complete mandatory internship: not applicable.

W1: knows the basic regulations concerning the organization and financing of the health service, general health insurance and the principles of organization of enterprises of a medical entity G K_W07
W2: knows the legal regulations regarding the provision of health services, patient's rights, the basics of practicing the profession of a doctor and the functioning of the medical self-government G K_W06

U2: explains to people using medical services their basic rights and the legal basis for providing these benefits G K_U03

Prerequisites
The student knows the basic diseases in the field of internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics. He knows the pathophysiology of diseases as well as the course, prognosis and influence on the social and economic functions of the patient.
